Sprung from the roots of a fourth-generation apple farm, Bearwallow Valley Farms has been providing Henderson County locals with beautifully grown produce for years. Each generation brings new ideas to the farm. As a fourth-generation farmer and Registered Dietitian, the Costons have transformed a portion of their family’s apple orchard into a diversified farm with a variety of produce.

Our family loves working with Bearwallow Valley Farms. We love that specialty fruit, like raspberries, come standard in our CSA. We also chose the meat share add-on and could not be more pleased. All of the meat is pre-packed and frozen so I can quickly pop it out of the freezer whenever I need it. It makes us feel good too that Bearwallow Valley Farms sources only local meat from Western North Carolina where the animals have been raised responsibly and humanely. They also give us great recipes and menu ideas that include both our meat share and our veggie share. All of their menus and recipes are designed by a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and I know that when I cook with their food and recipes, I am offering my family the most healthy option.
