Meet Farmer Julie Eberhardt

Meet the Bearwallow Valley Farms Farm Manager and CSA Manager, Julie Eberhardt. Julie is AMAZING! We couldn’t do it without her!

1. BVF: What is your educational and professional background?

Julie: I have an A.A.S with a major in physical therapy assistant. I’ve been a gardener at heart for decades, but I’m just now doing this professionally.

2. BVF: How did you learn about our farm?

Julie: My amazing wife thought it would be a good idea to hook up with the BEST CSA in Asheville. She did tons of research and we called and just had to team up with Nicole. She was just so easy to talk with and very informative.

3. What are you most excited to grow this season?

Everything. I do really love the process of starting plants and watching them grow into big huge beings. It's just amazing what one little seed will do!

4. What is your favorite recipe made with any of the crops we grow?

Julie: My wife canned the BEST ketchup, sauce, and jam this past year. So delicious!

5. Tell us one weird/random/interesting/unknown thing about you!

Julie: I will try to save everything in the garden! In an attempt to make sure all the little tomato plants had a chance, I had 52 in our garden last year and it was a nightmare. I need to learn from this lesson!
