Winter Squash Series Part 8

Hey y’all! Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. We are back with the winter squash series. Only 3 more squashes to present until we start some new content for December! We hope that you all have enjoyed these posts and found them informative. Tag us on Instagram if you decide to try any of these recipes!

Today we present to you a crop that was once a North Carolina staple and has become a historic heirloom, the Candy Roaster squash. Indigenous Cherokee Nations relied on this squash heavily to feed the large clans of men, women, and children. Today, these squash are less common, but equally delicious. Use them for pies, holiday dishes, or a stand alone veggie!

I definitely recommend y’all try out today’s recipe! This recipe was used a few weeks back in our winter squash pie artisan share. Look familiar? They were sooooooo good.
